Tiki Tuesday Community Spotlight for 12/2

Aloha everyone! This is the weekly post/thread to showcase the best stuff from the community this week. Hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving week, if you’re in the United States. At the Oda homestead we had plenty of turkey, green bean casserole, mai tais and ham (which I baked). We had the chance to reflect on the things we are thankful for. For me, it’s been the privilege to be the CM for the RO community. For the best stuff this week, be sure to let me know in the comments of the thread version of this post what … Continue reading Tiki Tuesday Community Spotlight for 12/2

Tiki Tuesday Community Spotlight for 11/3

Good Monday and Aloha everyone, I know the last few weeks have been rocky but I look forward to answering your questions this Tuesday during our live show. Monday Spotlight on popular community created content Probably the biggest thread this last week was a spirited but mostly civil discussion about Renewal WoE. Big and small guilds gave feedback on the state of our weekly Guild vs Guild event and how they would want to see improvements. The thread is very long, but there are a lot of interesting points being made by players new and old. For the art of … Continue reading Tiki Tuesday Community Spotlight for 11/3

Tiki Tuesday Question Lounge for 10/28

Aloha everyone! After a busy weekend (and busy Monday) we’re going to be doing a Q&A and hangout on Classic server this Tuesday at 3pm. Why not chill out this TT with the music of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar from the Disneyland Resort? A mix of older and newer Exotica tracks, this soundtrack is one of the most impressive parts of the bar experience. Trader Sam’s is one of the very few tiki bars that still plays Exotica music, I would highly recommend going there if you find yourself near Disneyland! I’m going to use Tiki Tuesday thread as … Continue reading Tiki Tuesday Question Lounge for 10/28

Spooky Tuesday Question Lounge for 10/14

It’s the spookiest month of the year and a flimsy excuse to share some goofily spooky content! Ask your questions in this thread and I will answer them during next week’s Tuesday live show! The thread will be locked at noon the day of the show so I can get some proper answers for your questions. One of my personal favorites, the Musical version of HG Wells’ War of the Worlds. Intensely British, this combines fun synth with the classic Victorian sci-fi epic. Continue reading Spooky Tuesday Question Lounge for 10/14

Tiki Tuesday Question Lounge for 9/23

Just a heads up, this week we do not have the usual TWIR broadcast preceding Tiki Tuesday. We have a archived google hangout video where CM Maridah and I answered questions from the community which you can watch here. Ask your Qs in this thread and we’ll do our best to answer them tomorrow during the Tiki Tuesday stream. For today, getting some cyberpunk tunes going with a few of my favorite Retro New Wave artists. This is a genre of heavy synth, pulse pounding drum machines and all the 80s nostalgia you can stand. This is the soundtrack for … Continue reading Tiki Tuesday Question Lounge for 9/23

Tiki Tuesday Question Lounge for 9/16

Aloha folks! We have a new format for our This Week In Ragnarok news show with a new RO2 CM Maridah! It’ll air before the Tiki Tuesday next week, so stay tuned! We had fun filming it, so we hope you’ll enjoy it. The pics this week are from the amazing Tikiyaki Orchestra’s concert I attended last week. The music was fantastic, especially as it was set inside one of the USA’s last surviving Tiki Bars. The tikiyaki guys were incredibly talented, switching from bongos to guitar to keyboards depending on the song. An absolutely amazing experience. The rest of … Continue reading Tiki Tuesday Question Lounge for 9/16
